"I loathe narcissism, but I love vanity." - Diana Vreeland

To be honest, I used to think that blogs were ridiculously narcissistic. I felt that blogging was a way to tell people pretty tactlessly, "Look at me! This is what I think! I am the most important person in the world, so I demand that you read what I have to say." I still sort of feel that way. However, with the advent of facebook and MySpace, I've noticed that people are into this sort of thing. There's some desire that almost everyone has to observe and examine, to investigate and analyze. While someone could read this and say, "Wow. This guy really has his head up his own ass and thinks that he's hot shit," I could easily say, "Yeah, and you're reading it."

Anyway, I'm going to be updating this [in]frequently. Whenever I have something to say. Or don't have something to say. Or just let my fingers do the typing with a stream of consciousness that will sometimes turn to a river, sometimes to a trickle. Either way, you're reading it.
